Seton: Calgary's Urban Oasis in the Southeast

A defining feature of Seton's skyline is the immense $1.3 billion South Health Campus, a brand new hospital scheduled to be fully operational by mid-2013. Medical directors are hoping that wait times for certain operations and emergency room visits in the Calgary area will be significantly cut down.

Seton is expected to continue to grow over the next decade. A $70 million recreational centre has been approved for the area and will house pools, both indoor and outdoor ice rinks, indoor and outdoor tracks, work-out facilities, baseball diamonds, gymnasiums, a library, and an art centre. Emergency services will also be setting up shop, providing service to many of Calgary's southern communities.
